Rustic Wooden Garden Furniture
Solid wood, sound construction and half a century of working Northern white cedar. That is the foundation every piece in this collection is built on. At Cedar Creek Rustic Furniture, every piece of rustic wooden garden furniture begins with solid Northern white cedar, hand-selected from sustainably managed Northern Michigan forests and handcrafted in our Ingalls workshop. Our team has been working exclusively with this wood for over 50 years and that depth of experience shows in how every piece is built, how it weathers and how long it lasts in your garden.
This collection covers garden wood benches, decorative garden benches, rustic garden chairs, wooden garden patio tables, cedar porch swings, wooden garden bridges and cedar arbors. Each piece ships free to the lower 48 states and carries our 20-year guarantee.
What makes our wooden garden furniture hold up where others do not comes down to three specific construction choices.
What Sets Cedar Creek Rustic Furniture Apart in Construction and Quality
Larger Diameter Logs at Every Connection Point
We use larger diameter cedar logs than most outdoor furniture manufacturers because more wood at every connection point is what keeps a frame tight through years of outdoor use. Our pieces are load-tested to 800 pounds across the range and that figure reflects how they are proportioned and joined, not a number applied after the fact.
Marine-Grade Hardware on Every Piece We Build
Every fastener we use is 25% thicker than industry standard and marine-grade stainless throughout. Zinc-coated bolts are common in outdoor furniture and they corrode within a few seasons in wet or cold climates, a detail most buyers never think to ask about, but one of the first places a frame starts to fail. Marine-grade hardware holds across conditions and across years, which is the only standard worth building to.
Hand-Finished Cedar Surfaces Built for Long-Term Outdoor Use
Every piece of rustic wooden garden furniture we build is hand-peeled or hand-sanded before it leaves Ingalls, because the surface quality at that stage determines how the wood weathers over the long term and prevents the splintering that comes from machine-finished lumber left to season outdoors. No two pieces look identical because no two cedar logs ever do and that variation is part of what makes handcrafted garden furniture worth choosing over production alternatives.

Our Rustic Wooden Garden Furniture Range
Every piece below is built from the same Northern white cedar in our Ingalls workshop. Cedar Creek Rustic Furniture wooden garden furniture sets are designed to work together and the full range is below.
Garden Wood Benches and Decorative Garden Benches
Our wooden benches are hand-peeled from cedar logs selected for both character and structural soundness. Whether you are looking for garden wooden benches for a path or a longer bench for patio dining, each piece is built to fit naturally into the space and weather alongside the garden around it, taking on a quieter tone over time that suits the setting in a way painted or stained furniture rarely manages to hold after a few seasons outdoors.
Available in your choice of:
- 3-foot and 4-foot decorative garden bench for pathway corners and garden bed edges
- 5-foot and 6-foot garden wood bench for patio seating or dining table pairing
- Rocking garden bench with a full-width built-in rocker
- 17-inch seat height and 15-degree back angle for genuine outdoor comfort
Rustic Garden Chairs and Wood Garden Chairs
Our rustic garden chairs are built from full cedar log construction throughout, with no metal reinforcement inside the frame and no composite material under the surface. If you are choosing wood garden chairs for a patio or an open garden space, the difference in how cedar construction holds over time compared to painted or powder-coated alternatives becomes clear within the first couple of seasons. They are proportioned and joined to stay outside through every season without needing to be covered or stored between them and every chair comes from the same workshop and the same cedar stock as our benches and tables so that pieces you add later will always sit together well.
What you can choose from:
- Cedar log rocking chair for front porch or open garden placement
- High-seat Adirondack chair with a raised seat height for easier everyday use
- Matched wood garden chair sets from the same workshop and cedar stock
If you are building a complete outdoor dining or seating area, the chairs pair directly with our garden tables below.
Wooden Garden Patio Table and Outdoor Dining Sets
Our wooden garden patio tables are built on wide cedar plank tops set over hand-built log bases, with board spacing engineered for natural water runoff so the surface drains freely after rain rather than holding moisture against the wood. Every wooden garden table we make stays on your patio through every season without covering, oiling or off-season storage and they are rated to hold over 500 pounds with tops that are hand-finished to the same standard as every other piece in this collection.
Our outdoor dining range includes:
- Wooden garden table sizes from compact two-person setups to full family dining configurations
- Complete wooden garden furniture sets with matching cedar bench seating
- Pre-assembled option available on select pieces
Cedar Porch Swings
Our cedar porch swings are available in 4-foot, 5-foot and 6-foot widths, rated to 800 pounds and certified to ASTM F1148-19 safety standards. The hardware is a custom U-bolt and 2-pivot system built specifically for long-term swing use rather than adapted from general-purpose fittings and each swing mounts to a standard porch beam or pairs with a freestanding A-frame for open yard placement. Canopy kits are sold separately and engineered to release safely above 25 mph wind speeds.
The cedar swing was the first product Cedar Creek Rustic Furniture ever made. In 1975, our founder hand-cut three cedar log swings on Northern Michigan land he owned, sold all three the same day they were seen and grew the business from that single order. The configuration has not changed in 50 years because nothing about it has needed to.
Wooden Garden Bridges and Cedar Arbors
Our wooden garden bridges and cedar arbors are built from the same Northern white cedar as every other piece in this collection and held to the same construction standard. If your garden paths and entry points sit alongside our furniture, the bridges and arbors will match in wood tone, grain character and build quality without any extra coordination on your end.
Once you know what is available, it helps to see how each piece is typically placed and why it works in that setting.
Where Our Rustic Wooden Garden Furniture Works Best
Garden furniture earns its place when it fits naturally into the space rather than standing apart from it. Here is how our pieces are most commonly used and why each placement works:
- Garden paths: A decorative garden bench placed at a natural turn gives the walk a place to pause and adds intention to the layout without feeling placed for its own sake
- Under a tree: Wood garden chairs settle into a garden canopy in a way painted metal furniture never quite manages, because the material reads as belonging there
- Outdoor dining: A wooden garden patio table with matching cedar benches from the same workshop looks considered from the start, not pieced together from different sources over time
- Fire pit areas: Cedar seating holds up through frost, rain and heat without attention between uses. We also warehouse and ship Espegard outdoor fire pans directly from Michigan if you are building out a complete fire pit area
- Front porch: A cedar swing paired with two log rockers is the setup we have been building since 1975 and it remains the right combination for almost any front porch
Every placement above is backed by the same guarantee and ships under the same free shipping terms.
Your 20-Year Guarantee and Free Shipping
Every piece ships free from Ingalls, Michigan to any address in the lower 48 states, arriving partially assembled with pre-drilled holes, all required hardware and clear instructions. Select pieces ship fully pre-assembled. Assembly on most pieces runs between 30 and 60 minutes.
Your purchase is backed by our 20-year guarantee on manufactured defects in construction and joinery. One thing worth knowing before your order arrives: shallow surface marks called surface checks can appear in the first season as cedar releases moisture through its growth rings. They are surface only, with no effect on structural integrity and are a normal characteristic of this wood outdoors.
